Pre-Conference Event - A Day in Banff

Spend a day in Banff! Let us do the driving so you can do the looking. If you don’t want to go alone, join us at any pick-up points below. The following itinerary is optional. The bus will drop us off in downtown Banff at 9:30 am, and drive us back to Calgary at 4:30 pm. What you do in between is entirely up to you!
Cost:
Early bird: $35 (ends April 25) Regular: $50
This fee includes:
- transportation to and from Banff
- your entrance fee into Banff National Park
- an optional tour of Banff (see below for itinerary)
Register for this event with your regular conference registration. We anticipate that these seats will be filled quickly so register early.

| 9:30 am | Bus drop off: Banff Centre for CE Session participants: |
| 9:45 am | Bus drop off: Downtown Banff. Option 1: Tour of Banff and Banff Centre with Jim Olver/Elizabeth Aitken Option 2: Easy hike with V Stieda (weather permitting. If bad weather, morning in the Whyte Museum or join Jim’s tour) |
| 11:30 am | Lunch / shop in downtown Banff (on your own. We have restaurant suggestions for you here) |
| 1:30 pm | Bus pick up (location tbd): Downtown to Banff Hot Springs* |
| 2:30 pm | Bus pick up (Banff Hot Springs): Hot Springs to Banff Springs Hotel for high tea/drinks/walk around |
| 4:00 pm | Bus pick up (Banff Springs Hotel): Banff Springs Hotel to down town. |
| 4:15 pm | Bus pick up (Downtown) – pick up rest of tour / |
| 4:30 pm | Bus pick up (Banff Centre) – pick up CE participants |
| 6:00 pm | Back in Calgary |
* Entry cost for Banff Hot Springs - $6.35; Towel rental - $1.90; Bathing suit rental - $1.90.
OTHER THINGS TO DO IN BANFF
Our Big Caveat: you are responsible for your own transportation to anything not listed on the optional tour above. Happily, Sulphur Mountain/Gondola is 290 meters from the Hot Springs. The gorgeous Rimrock Resort is right next door.
