The Annual Conference of the Association falls in May or June and is frequently scheduled to facilitate attendance also at either the Annual Meeting of the Canadian Library Association or the Medical Library Association. Every effort is made to rotate conferences across the country.

Included in CHLA/ABSC's Annual Conference are two full days of continuing education courses. The conference provides a forum for participants from across the country to share ideas and address issues of relevance to the health sciences information field. In addition to a varied program of panel discussions, lectures and informal meetings, CHLA/ABSC hosts an exhibit of products and services of particular interest to health science librarians.
