Michelle Helliwell (MLIS 2003) is the Director of Policy, Nova Scotia Health Policy Office. Her career has spanned a number of roles in the healthcare sector, including knowledge services librarian and Patient Safety consultant. Currently, she is responsible for oversight for policy development and content management, and improving document control standards and information governance for policy documents. Most recently, working within Library Services and Interprofessional Practice, her office helped to create the COVID-19 Hub for Nova Scotia Health, a key portal for clinical and occupational health direction for front line healthcare workers to support Nova Scotia Health’s pandemic response.
